Must be an attorney who has been actively engaged in the practice of law for a substantial period. The recipient must have provided outstanding legal representation for people of minority backgrounds, especially those of African backgrounds.

The award is dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement and innovation in the insurance industry. The recipient must have a proven track record of his or her outstanding service to the community.
The individual who exemplifies excellence, innovation, and commitment to the risk and insurance management fields is considered for the award.

Fashion Designer of the Year
The recipient must have raised African fashion creatives in the global fashion industry, ensuring they play a pivotal role in the global market. The award is given to a fashion entrepreneur whose innovative and creative work has made a notable impact on the industry while showcasing African fashion flair.

IT Professional of the Year
Evidence of a distinguished career in the IT profession. This award will recognize an exceptional IT professional who has made a significant impact in the industry through visionary leadership, innovation, and a strong tech spirit.

Media Personality of the Year
This award will go to an individual who has made significant contributions to the media profession. One who has changed the status quo and raised the bar by showcasing the can-do spirit that Africans possess.

Sports Personality of the Year
This is awarded to the individual who has excelled in his or her chosen field of sport and has enhanced the reputation of the sport in its entirety.

Best African Restaurant
This award will go to a restaurant that produces African culinary dishes of a high standard and is a redefiner of African food with its rich and diverse flavors. The restaurant must be a key player in the restaurant business where it is located and a home to signature dishes that encompass the true taste of Africa.

Best African Brand
The award will go to an African-owned business that has made significant contributions to the local community. A key player within the diverse African business landscape. The aim is to celebrate the positive influence this business has on the community. Additionally, the recognition serves as a beacon of inspiration and a testament to a business’s dedication to excellence, innovation, and positive impact, potentially opening doors to new opportunities and markets.

Most Outstanding Businessman
The recipient must have outstanding business acumen, excellent leadership skills and has achieved remarkable growth and profitability in his business. He must be highly motivated, and have distinguished achievements in his area of expertise. The candidate must also show a high degree of community engagement.

Realtor of the year
Realtor of the Year is awarded to an individual who exemplifies commitment, trust, and service to the industry and to that individual’s community. One who has helped the people of his community become homeowners will be considered for the award.

Most Outstanding Businesswoman
The recipient must have outstanding business acumen, excellent leadership skills and has achieved remarkable growth and profitability in her business. She must be highly motivated, and have distinguished achievements in her area of expertise. The candidate must also show a high degree of community engagement.

Social Media Influencer of the Year
The award honors the top influencer who generates a positive impact on society through the power of influence. One with a proven record of having reshaped the digital landscape of his or her community or nation.

Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award is pivotal to what the GADA Awards stand for. The awardee must have left a lasting imprint on his or her community, host nation, and the African continent. One whose legacy will continue to stand the test of time.
